The telemedicine/teleconsultation company, Sihaty, has successfully raised $1.3 million in a pre-series A investment round, with the investment led by Rasameel Investment Company, Taken Seat Fund, and Doha Tech Angels, along with a number of leading regional angel investment programs.
The startup aims to fill the gap in essential primary healthcare services in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
The telemedicine platform allows users in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia to consult doctors online (teleconsultation), where doctors can use the platform’s features to talk to patients, save their medical records, and histories, and prescribe medications that are delivered to them within 24 hours.

The mobile application of the Kuwaiti startup has received more than 200,000 operations. Download since its launch in 2020.

For his part, Dr. Nadeem Al Duaij, Co-Founder and CEO of Sihaty, said in a statement, “For too long, the general focus has been on an expensive, fragmented, and ineffective model of patient care, and as a result, we have not sufficiently paid attention to primary care and prevention, despite great interest in building Bigger and better hospitals, as the real solutions lie in technology that has the potential to expand and enhance its impact in this sector.”
