Medical Devices Market in the UAE to Reach 5.6 Billion Dirhams by 2025

Specialists from international research firm Fitch Solutions, content partners of Arab Health 2021, estimated that the medical devices market in the UAE will reach 5.6 billion dirhams by 2025, at a compound annual growth rate of 4.4%. between 2020 and 2025.

According to the Fitch Solutions UAE Medical Devices market report for the second quarter of 2021, the market will benefit from overall strong economic performance over the next five years, and the main factors that will support the growth of the market to achieve this will be: population growth, changing epidemiology and the growing medical tourism industry, developing healthcare infrastructure, expanding health insurance, digital transformation and new technologies.

The medical device market includes any product used in healthcare for the diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, or treatment of disease or disability, other than pharmaceuticals such as: consumables, diagnostic imaging, dental products, orthopedic products, prosthetics, and patient aids.

The latest and most recent innovations that will be on display during the exhibition include: smart inhaler technology for respiratory drug delivery by FindAir, a non-invasive wearable laser light glucometer by GlucoActive, and Angelo Smart Bed, the first AI hospital bed from a company.

Underlining Arab Health’s commitment to supporting innovators in the healthcare sector, the Healthcare Startup Competition has been established which will feature a group of regional and international companies showcasing their latest innovations.

Elsewhere in the exhibition hall, major companies including Dreger, Philips, Fujifilm, Honeywell and Canon will display their latest medical equipment and everything related to the healthcare sector.

A series of dedicated online event activities were held and will be available until July 22, 2021, during which the latest and most recent products and technological advancements in the industry were highlighted through a series of educational sessions and seminars on the topics of Oncology, Imaging, Diagnostics, Pediatrics, Critical Care, Patient Monitoring and Endoscopy Internal, wellness, orthopedics, surgery, consumables and medical furniture.

Instrumentation was also shown including the Aesculap Aeos B. Braun, a robot-assisted digital surgical microscope platform for minimally invasive neurosurgery or liver surgery manufactured by Richard Wolff Endoscopy.

Arab Health 2021 is held under the slogan “Business unite” and push the industry forward, through a live event that is expected to receive 2,000 exhibiting companies and more than 24,500 participants from 170 countries around the world.

The Arab Health 2021 conference will witness the participation of 300 speakers from different countries of the world who will highlight the most prominent developments related to the healthcare sector, pharmaceuticals, improving medical practices and patient outcomes and latest technologies in medical devices market.

The events of the event include organizing 12 conferences from 21 to 24 June 2021, nine of which will focus on continuing medical education, as each conference allows participants to communicate and develop international best practices.
