UK Announces the Discovery of the “Omicron XE” Variant

The United Kingdom announced the discovery in the country of the new “Omicron XE” mutant, which is a variant of Omicron, whose symptoms are very similar to those of the common cold.

This coincided with India’s announcement that it had recorded the first case of the new mutant “Omicron XE” of the Coronavirus, in the capital, Mumbai.

According to the WHO, Omicron XE variant is a result of the combination of 2 Omicron variants (BA1 & BA2), Preliminary investigation shows that it is 10% more transmissible compared to Ba2.

The British National Health Service (NHS) also announced its official list of Covid 19 symptoms, with the continued rise in Omicron cases in Britain, and linked 9 new physical symptoms to the current mutant, in addition to the latest “Omicron XE” strain, and many symptoms of Covid 19 are similar to other diseases.

The official NHS list included 12 physical presentations, but not all of them for this prominent virus.

Given the similarity of symptoms with other diseases, the British National Health Service issued a warning on its official website, indicating that the symptoms are very similar to symptoms such as colds and flu.

Although the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) included a long list of symptoms, the NHS has only listed 3 for about two years.

The general official symptoms of the Coronavirus are: a high temperature or chills, a new and persistent cough, loss or change in the sense of smell or taste, in addition to shortness of breath, feeling tired or exhausted, physical pain, headache, sore throat, blockage or runny nose, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, feeling sick and unwell or really sick

While it is not yet believed that the mutated Omicron XE from the original Omicron strain has symptoms of its own, it is known that many symptoms of patients with it are very similar to those associated with cold and flu.

The most common symptoms of the original Omicron strain include a runny nose, sneezing, and sore throat, especially in people who have received the vaccine.

In addition to headache, muscle aches, coughing, sneezing, high temperature, pressure in the ears and face, and loss of taste and smell.
